This isn't a marketplace with ten-thousand generic profiles. It's a bench being built one engineer at a time, starting from a waitlist, for a launch in mid-2026.
If that sounds underwhelming — good. The alternative already exists, and it's exactly what we're not building.

You're joining the waitlist for a platform that launches mid-2026. That's it. No commitment, no auto-enrolment, no data sold to anyone. When applications open, we'll get in touch and you can decide if the bench is still for you.
Because New Zealand deserves its own platform. Global job boards treat NZ like an afterthought, and international marketplaces don't understand contracting, tax, or timezone realities here. We're local, on the ground, and entirely focused on this market.
Because it's the cheapest, strongest signal that you actually write code. We'll look at activity, contribution history, and project quality — alongside a real project you walk us through. It's not the only thing we evaluate. If you don't code publicly, talk to us — we just need something we can actually look at.
Two parts. First, your GitHub plus a real project you've shipped — we want to see how you think and architect, with AI in the loop. Second, a real-world technical session where you're encouraged (not penalised) for using AI. Roughly 45 minutes. At launch, the session becomes part of your profile so organisations can see how you actually work.
No. Engineers pay nothing, ever. The platform is funded by organisations that engage through the bench — we'll share the commercial details when applications open.
Agencies sit between the two sides and charge 20–25% on top of salary to do it. The bench removes the middle. You see the actual engineer, their actual work, and engage them directly. No calendar tag, no gate-keeping, no shortlist of whoever the agency has under contract.
Mid-2026. The founding cohort is being assembled now — that's what this waitlist is for. Members of the founding cohort get priority placement, enhanced profile visibility, and lifetime grandfathered benefits at launch.
It lives in New Zealand, under the NZ Privacy Act 2020. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't spam you. If you decide this isn't for you later, you can delete everything with one click.
